Doors of Hope recognizes Wal-Mart for contributions

The Doors of Hope Center which has helped over 700 Winston County residents fight hunger recently recognized Wal-Mart for their contributions to the program.

Rev. Lorene Guyse, the founder and administrator of Doors of Hope recognized the Wal-Mart Store as a whole for providing 85,457 pounds of food and the receiving department for providing 25,982 of that to the program.

“Wal-Mart is committed to giving back,” said Gwenita Mays of Wal-Mart. “Wal-Mart is committed to Feeding America program and we commend Guyse for her work with Doors of Hope to help feed those in need.”

Guyse, 76, recognized the store for there strong commitment to helping those in need.

The Doors of Hope Center is located at Holy Ghost Temple Church, 128 Hill Street, Louisville, MS 39339.

Rev. Guyse added that
individuals, businesses and churches may help the agency financially by
