A pair of senior Nanih Waiya standouts will be representing the Warriors once again on Saturday when they play for the North team in the D.M. Howie MHSAA All-Star Baseball game set for Smith-Wills Stadium.

Colby Eaves and Luke Rosamond will take part in the 1A-2A-3A game at 1 p.m., while the 4A-5A-6A game is set for a 5:30 p.m. first-pitch.

Eaves and Rosamond both had stellar seasons for the Warriors, which finished the season at 25-6 and as state runners-up in MHSAA Class 1A. Eaves, a Dandy Dozen selection by the Jackson Clarion-Ledger, was the ace on the mound for Nanih Waiya, while also providing pop at the plate while playing first base.

Rosamond played shortstop and pitched for the Warriors, while batting at the top of the order.

Cody McKee of East Webster will be joining Eaves and Rosamond on the 18-man North squad in the 1A/2A/3A contest. The team is being coached by Jeff Wood of Alcorn Central and Daniel Threadgill of Kossuth.

Will Brand of Newton County will be representing the South in the 4A/5A/6A game.
