ECCC welcomes area students

Area high school students will be special guests of East Central Community College when the Warriors battle Jones County Junior College Thursday, Oct. 3 on the Decatur campus. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m. at Bailey Stadium.

“We encourage all area high school students to come enjoy a night of exciting football on us,” said Randall E. Lee, Vice President for Student Services. “For those who have not attended a Warrior football game, you will be surprised not only with the exciting competition on the field but also with the talent of our amazing cheerleaders and Centralettes dance line, and one of the largest and best marching bands in the state, the Wall O’ Sound!”

Lee said the special guests (ninth through twelfth grade students) will be admitted free to the MACJC South Division football contest and will be recognized throughout the game.

Door prizes will be awarded at the end of each quarter and one of the visiting students will have an opportunity to win free tuition for one semester by successfully kicking a 20-yard field goal during halftime activities. Tuition is currently set at $990 per semester.

East Central Community College serves Leake, Neshoba, Newton, Scott and Winston counties and the surrounding area.
