From staff reports
A house fire in Louisville reportedly sent 4 residents to the hospital Monday morning.
The Louisville Fire Department responded to a fire at 700 North Columbus Avenue around 6:50 Monday morning.
Two adults and two children were reportedly in the home with almost a dozen pets when the fire broke out.
The four residents were taken to the Winston Medical Center for treatment with one person taken to Jackson for further treatment.
The Beth Eden and High Point Fire Departments assisted with the fire.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation. According to some witnesses, the fire hydrant located across the street from the home did have pressure problems while firefighters fought the blaze.
Most of the structure was destroyed during the fire and twopets were reportedly still missing.
