Winston Medial Clinic in Noxapater will host their ribbon cutting Monday, April 28 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Governor Phil Bryant with be the special guest from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. for the opening ceremony and ribbon cutting.
Governor Bryant has long since been an advocate for rural healthcare and the growth of hospitals and clinics across the state of Mississippi. He has also made it his priority during his tenure as Mississippi’s Governor to increase the number of jobs all over the state and decrease unemployment rates.
Governor Bryant last visit to Winston County was when Natron Wood Products held their ribbon cutting.
He has visited many other businesses and healthcare facilities throughout the state.
He has also been an advocate of the telemedicine program in the state.
Gov. Bryant has focused on increasing physician access and in 2012 signed measures expanding the number of residency programs and granting $10 million to the University of Mississippi Medical Center. A bill passed this session that requires insurance coverage for telemedicine services to remote patients.
