The 17th Annual Carl Jackson “Home for Christmas” benefit concert is set for Saturday, December 14.
The event will consist of two shows with one at 4p.m. and the other following at 7 p.m. in downtown Louisville at the historic Strand Theater.
In addition to Carl Jackson and mainstay friends such as Jerry Salley, Larry Cordle, Valerie Storey, Bradley Walker, Johnny Rawls, and comedian Lonnie Shorr, the show will also present upcoming stars The Church Sisters (Savannah and Sarah Church).

The proceeds from the concert will help the continued renovation of his hometown theater (The Strand Theater) which now serves as the Community Arts Center.
The Winston County Chamber and merchants are also presenting several shopping and holiday events during the holidays.
Upcoming events include:
December 4 Kids and Carols, Santa, Lighting of Christmas Tree of Hope in Front of the Courthouse , Caroling around the Tree of Hope along with a day of shopping in downtown Louisville. The tree lighting event begins at 6 p.m. in fron of the courthouse.

The Chamber and merchants will give away $500 Louisville dollars on December 18 event. Customers may register only during the holiday events.
The Chamber is also encouraging Small Business Saturday, November 29. This is a nationwide marketing campaign to “shop small”.
This day is dedicated to supporting small business owners across the country and the impact they have on local communities. During this holiday season, remember to shop small to find great gifts right here in Winston County.
