From staff reports

For the second year in a row, the Junior Auxiliary of Louisville will host a “Color Fun Run”.

The event will consist of a one-mile color fun run August 27, 2016 from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Ivy Park. There will be a $50 cash prize awarded in each 1st place category.

“The Color Run allows Junior Auxiliary to engage with the community especially because it is a weekend event,” Jennifer Busby said.

The race will be held in Ivy Park. Runners are encouraged to get to the starting line with plenty of time to enjoy a pre-race party with music, dancing, warm-up stretching, and much more.

All proceeds of the run will go to help the children of Winston County.

“This is such an exciting time for us, because it gives us a chance to thank all of the citizens of Winston County for supporting us in this work, and to recognize our wonderful our sponsors who help finance these projects,” a JA representative said. “The families and children we serve are so deserving and thankful for this assistance, and none of that would be possible without the support of the entire community.”

The Junior Auxiliary has a rich history of service, and the Junior Auxiliary of Louisville is carrying on that tradition.
