The Noxapater High School girls basketball team will have a little time to savor its first win of the season.

After beating traditional MHSAA Class 1A power McAdams 62-58 last Tuesday, the Lady Tigers will now have a three-week break before returning to action on Dec. 3 when they travel to Carrollton, along with the boys team, to face J.Z. George.

After that both the boys and girls will take part in the Sebastopol Tournament on Dec. 5-7.

“We have a little break between games but that will give us time to work on things,” Noxapater coach Pam Winstead said before her team’s game with McAdams.

A trio of seniors led the way offensively for the Lady Tigers against McAdams, with Breanna Glass scoring 20 points, Hanna Hamilton hitting for 15 and Brittany Triplett scoring 11.

Junior Treasure Lynch tossed in 10, while sophomore Kiera Phillips hit for six.
