The Warriors would have a 1-0 lead in the series after the win. The second game of the series was supposed to take place on May 12, but weather conditions caused it to be rescheduled until May 14. The second game was played in Natchez. The Green Wave would not allow the Warriors to get such a big lead this game, as the score was tied 1-1 after two innings. The next inning would see Cathedral take a 3-2 lead. They would extend that in the fourth with another run to make the score 4-2. Neither team would score the rest of the game, and the Green Wave would force a third game to determine the series. The third game took place immediately after the second game. The Warriors would not be able to clinch the win as Cathedral went on to a 5-2 victory to advance to the state championship. A congratulation goes out to Head Coach Jennifer Holdiness and the Lady Warriors for an awesome season and being South State runners. A special thanks goes out to all seniors who have dedicated their time and effort into the sport.
