The Nanih Waiya Warriors Lady Softball team was recently informed of three of their players receiving honorary accommodations for their hard work this past season.
The MHSAA Class 1A Fast Pitch All-State Team and Awards featured three players from the Nanih Waiya Warriors Lady Softball team.
For her hitting skills this past season, sophomore Ryan Holdiness was selected as the winner of the Hitter of the Year Award for 1A. Holdiness led her team with an amazing .543 batting average, including 39 RBI’s and 5 HR’s.
Also selected for this year’s All-State team were junior Kara Nowell and freshman Reagan Holdiness. Nowell had a batting average of .400 with 25 RBI’s and 4 HR’s. Reagan had a batting average of .409 with 22 RBI’s and 4 HR’s as well.
The Nanih Waiya Warriors and their coaching staff are thankful for their players receiving the recognition for a season well played. Warriors’ fans can rejoice in the fact that these players will be returning next season and look to make even more progress as they look for a chance to play for a state championship.
