A pair of losses last week knocked the Louisville High School slow-pitch softball team out of playoff contention.

The Lady Wildcats lost to visiting Nettleton 16-0 last Tuesday and then suffered a run-rule setback at Mooreville on Thursday to end their hopes of making the MHSAA Class 3A State Slow-Pitch Playoffs.

LHS bounced back to take a thrilling 11-9 win over visiting Union on Senior Night this Monday. The Lady Wildcats are set to conclude their slow-pitch season at Noxapater on Thursday. The varsity action is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
