Rain has slowed things down a little for the Louisville High School softball team, but the Lady Wildcats did manage to get one game in last week, dropping a 7-3 decision at home to Choctaw Central.

Louisville’s Sept. 24 road trip to Neshoba Central was cancelled due to rain. The Lady Wildcats had a pair of key region games scheduled this week. LHS, now 1-1 in league play, was set to host Nettleton on Tuesday, before visiting Mooreville on Thursday. The top two teams in the three-team region will advance to the MHSAA Class 3A Slow-Pitch Softball State Playoffs.

Louisville dropped a 13-3 contest to Nettleton on Sept. 12, but defeated Mooreville 7-1 a week later to even its region slate.

Louisville is scheduled to host Senior Night on Oct. 7 when Union pays a visit, before closing out the regular season at Noxapater on Oct. 10.
