The Louisville High School slow-pitch softball team evened its district record at 1-1 with a 7-1 home win over visiting Mooreville last Thursday.
The Lady Wildcats have two district games left — against Nettleton at home on Oct. 1 and at Mooreville on Oct. 3. The top two teams in the three-team district will advance to the MHSAA Class 3A State Playoffs. LHS lost to Nettleton earlier in the season.
No other information or individual statistics were reported to the Winston County Journal. Coaches or scorekeepers can report game information by e-mail at BrotherA4Him@hotmail.com or by text or phone call at 601-938-2471.
Louisville didn’t get to play on Saturday as the Houston Tournament was rained out. No results on Monday night’s scheduled road game against Meridian were reported.
The Lady Wildcats were scheduled to visit Neshoba Central on Tuesday, before hosting Choctaw Central on Thursday. Then come the two remaining district games with Nettleton and Mooreville. LHS has senior night scheduled for Oct. 7 when Union pays a visit with the final regular season game being scheduled at Noxapater on Oct. 10.
