Letter to the editor – Ramblin with Arlene

Praise the Lord everyone.  To be alive and be a part of the things that are going on in the kingdom of God is indeed a blessing and a privilege.  If only we could see with spiritual eyes the things that God has going on all around us.  The way we look at things, in order for a miracle to occur someone has to receive a major healing, win the lottery, or maybe get awarded a million dollar contract for something big.  But what about the person who has never went to church, and all of the sudden they come and God speaks to their heart, and they go to an old fashioned alter and repent and receive the spirit of God into their life and begin to walk with him everyday.  Now that is a miracle!!!
When we become a child of God and a part of his kingdom, we become obligated to our brothers and sisters in the Lord.  We are supposed to encourage them and strengthen them.  We are to help when there is a need.  We are to reach out to others in our community who don’t know God and encourage them to come to church and obey the word of God.  We are to encourage them when they are upset or down, and to say something to cause them to want to keep on going on for God.  Consider this, when you see a small child crying and you go to them and put an arm around them and tell them God loves them and all is well, and they look at you with a big smile as you wipe their tears away, you can say that is a miracle.
Miracles come in all sorts of ways, through all sorts of people.  They come very unexpected sometimes, and sometimes after years and years of prayer.  I prayed for 21 for Joe Barrett to receive the Holy Ghost, and he finally did.  That was a big miracle!!! I’m so thankful that he finally got in church.  God can use anyone or anything to bring about a miracle.  We can touch someone and instantly heal with no effort at all.  I’ve seen it happen with my own eyes.
The church I go to in Louisville is called River of Life Church.  All the people in this church are the most loving people I’ve ever been around.  They’re always happy to see someone new come.  When they come they are welcomed and all we want is for that new person to join the presence of God with us.  There is nothing like being in the presence of God.  Sunday morning Bro. Nathan Low was at our church.  He’s a singer and uses the songs he sings to minister to God’s people.  He preaches between the songs and talks about the good things of God.  It was such a good feeling in the church and the presence of God was so real.  It was like you could reach out and touch his hand.  It was an awesome time in the Lord.
I guess the Lord is telling us this to say, “Don’t get discouraged.  Don’t give up.  And just because you don’t see something happening with the natural eye then you assume God is not concerned and nothing is going to change.”  But, my God specializes in change that is for our good.  He is a loving father with out best interest at heart.  So dear friends just hold on and watch and pray.  Your miracle will come.
I’ve got to go for this week.  Call me 662-724-4691 or write me at 425 West Alice Street, Noxapater, MS 39346 if I can pray for your or help you.  It’s easy to find God.  Just turn your thoughts to him.  Talk to him like you would talk to me.  Let him speak to your heart.  He’s always reaching for us with out stretched arms.  God loves each and every one.  God bless you all.
