Praise the Lord everyone. What a wonderful Savior we serve. Even before we were created in our mother’s womb, God knew us. He knew even then if we would grow up and serve him or if we would turn our back on him and goes the way of the world. It goes back even farther than that. From the beginning of time, God knew us and knew all the stupid mistakes we would make, yet he chose to give his life on Calvary, that we might be saved and have a good life. Let me ask you this. How are we showing our appreciation?
Have you ever known someone who has made a lot of the same mistakes over and over again, and you tried to help them and they kept going right back to where they were before you helped them the first time? How many times did you try to help them before you said, “I’m done. They’ll get no more help from me!” So we give up on them and throw up our hands and quit. What if God had done that to us when we kept messing up over and over again? Where would we be today? Who could we depend on to watch our back? Who would be there for us when we had nowhere else to turn?
My pastor has really done some awesome preaching here lately. I love it when he gets up there and gets really stirred up and preaches to us just as hard as he can go, and never looks at a note he made. I guarantee you when he does that, if you will pay attention and apply what he is saying to your life; God will straighten you out on where you are spiritually and what areas of your life you need to step up in. But if you are not careful the devil will come along and cause you to say “oh he wasn’t preaching to me. God meant that for old brother or sister so and so.”
Look, I’m not a preacher, and it’s not my place to preach to you. Best I’m putting in this article what God is putting from my head to my hand. That’s all I can do. It’s hitting me first. I told Sis. Agnew last week that God had dealt with me about getting back to the things of God. I know I’ve slacked off. It seems like any more I never catch up with my work here at home. I stay so tired and get very little sleep. When God began dealing with me about it, I started whining “well Lord, I have so much to do.” Then God brought back to me what I’ve lived by for forty years. If you are too busy for God, you’re just too busy. You better change your way of doing. So I’m working on me until I get back on track. Don’t let Satan come in unaware and cause you grief. Living for God and making it to heaven is worth whatever we have to do to please our Lord and Savior. Please pray for me because I want to make it to heaven.
I’ve got to go for this week. Find some quiet time and let God speak to your heart. Don’t be afraid to step out by faith and let God direct your path. He knows how to lead you. I promise you he does. God bless each and every one of you. Take care. Call me at 662-724-4691 or write me at 425 West Alice Street, Noxapater, MS 39346. See you next week, Lord willing. Remember, it’s never too late to change. It just takes a made up mind. Then just some time to prove yourself.
