Letter to the editor – Rambling

Praise the Lord everyone.  I want to praise the Lord for allowing us to get Devon out of the nursing home Saturday evening and go make senior pictures with his lovely daughter, Candace Dawn Barrett.  She will graduate from Grace Christian School on May 9th.  We are so very proud of her.  She is a special young woman, and all she has been through with her dad has made her a stronger person.  She loves God, and I believe God has a lot in store for her.  Please remember Devon and his family when you pray.  God is still in the healing business, and we’re looking for him to touch Devon just any day.

When we look around us, we have so much to be thankful for.  I go through a lot of pain because of post-polio and fibromyalgia, but when I talk to some of the people who call me for prayer, it makes me realize I am truly blessed of God.  So, I press on to override the pain.  I put me in a gospel tape and sing and worship the Lord.  In no time I’m feeling better.  When you invite the presence of God into your spirit, it will bring healing, peace, understanding, love, patience, and all sorts of other things to you.  You can defeat the devil and feel better.  Your faith is lifted up where you can go another mile.  No matter how bad life makes your situation look, just have faith and believe God will see you through, and he will.  His promises are real and true.  Nothing is impossible with God.

I have seen too many miracles to doubt God for any reason.  He will always come through and do what he said he would do.  Some of the most special times in my life is when in that still, quiet moment, God would speak to my heart and bring a peace to me about situations in my life.  Then I knew I didn’t have to worry or even give it a thought because God had it all under control.  If he will do it for me, he will do it for you.

If you’re reading this article and you’re sick, depressed, lonely, or you just need someone to talk to and be with that will care if you live or die, please call me.  Don’t let the devil talk to your mind and get you down.  The people at River of Life church will love you and help you and encourage you and welcome you to the house of God with open arms.  They’re some of the most loving, caring people I’ve ever been privileged to serve with.  Please give me a call at 662-724-4691 or write me at 425 West Alice Street, Noxapater, MS 39346.  Let us share the love of God with you.

Just remember God loves you and he wants you to be happy.  He also wants you to prosper and do well and be able to help others and encourage them.  Just to have someone to tell you that they care and to be there for you will make a difference.  God is with you right now.  Just talk to him and let him comfort your heart.  I pray God’s greatest blessings will be on each and every one.  See you next week, Lord willing.
