Salute Winston Countians

I’m writing to thank Louisville residents for their generosity in helping thousands of suffering children worldwide this Christmas. Through their efforts, we were able to contribute towards 30,700 shoeboxes collected within the Columbus area—filled with toys, school supplies and hygiene items—for Operation Christmas Child, the world’s largest Christmas project of its kind. These simple gift-filled shoeboxes communicate to needy children that they are loved and not forgotten.

Although drop-off locations in Louisville are closed until November 2014, shoebox gifts can be packed any time. Gifts are received year-round at Samaritan’s Purse (801 Bamboo Road, Boone, N.C., 28607) or using the project’s online tool, where donors can virtually build a box. To get involved, visit samaritanspurse.org or call (770) 777-9342.

Thanks again to everyone who participated in this project. A simple gift, packed with love, can communicate hope and transform the lives of children worldwide.

Praise the Lord everyone . I love the sound of Gods people coming togather to worship and praise God . Worship brings the very presence of God down in a service . When you begin to lift your hands and your voices to God , He will come down and settle in you and all around you . There will never be a greater feeling than what you will experience when God is in your midst . It is truely amazing . You will never understand until you experience it for yourself . You should try it , you just might like it !

Folks, we spend our lives rushing and running around and trying to do every thing we need to do to make a living and see to the needs of our families . But do we take time to stop and pray first and ask God what we need to do ? We don’t take care of ourselves and we make old people out of ourselves before our time . We don’t get enough rest . OUr bodies are the temple of God and we are suppose to be taking care of Gods temple for service to Him . The nursing homes are filling up with people in there 50’s and 60’s who are crippled up from neglect . We just put my 41 year old son in the nursing home at Louisville .He had four surguries from a brain tumor . We are praying he will improve but right now we just don’t know what the will of God will be . We are desparately trying to put it in His hands , but it is really hard . He has a wife and three children. Please pray for him and we will appreciate it so much . This young man loves God and is fulll of the Holy Ghost .

When I get up in the morning I try to think about what all I need to do that day and the order I need to do it in . I never know who will come by just to talk or who will call and I always want to make myself available to them to just listen and be a friend . The other things I need to do is second place . More than anything I just want to do the will of my Father in Heaven .

Why do we run around , never catching up and letting life steal our children , steal our marriages , steal our spirtual walk with God . Why …do we let Satan put fear in our hearts that we have to do these things to make ends meet and raise our families ? We know the word of God promises He will make a way where there seems to be no way . We take situations and blow them up and make a mountain out of a mole hill . We stew and fuss and work ourselves up and then we don’t get anything done . We get in such a frame of mind until we no longer are showing the attributes of a christian . When this happens we’ve lost it all .

Folks, God loves us , but if we truely love Him , we’ve got to learn to give ourselves to the things that are most important for our spirtual life first and then look to God for the needs of our families and for all the other things we put first before God . God is a mighty God and loving and caring and all He ask of us is to be faithful to Him and love Him and put Him first in our life . God is not trying to take anything away from our family . His word promises that if we will do what is right , everything else will fall into place , just like a puzzle when your putting it togather , one piece at a time.

I’ve got to go for this week . Please continue to pray for complete healing for our son . He is 41 now and this happened to him 14 years ago . He had his first brain surgery when he was 27 years old . He has a wife and three children that suffer with him , not counting Joe and myself ,four siblings and families , and a host of family and friends . He was always a good person and he loves God and is full of the Holy Ghost . We don’t know what the Lord’s will is for him , but we are hoping it will be for complete healing . Please help us pray for him . We know that all things are possible if we will ask in Jesus name believing . I hope you have a blessed week . Call me at 662-724-4691 or write me at 425 West Alice St. , Noxapater , Ms 39346 if I can help you or pray for you . Pray for me as I try to walk in Gods light and do His will .Come and visit us at River Of Life Church on Red St.and McCullly Avenue in louisville . We’ll treat you good . I love you all.
