Serious problem in a small community
Mt. Calvary has a serious problem. In the last four years, the dogs have frequently disappeared. There have been over 21 dogs to go missing in this

community. Some have been found shot to death. The others have not been found at all. There are currently no leash laws to exist in the country here in Winston County. The local animal shelter does not take in animals from this region. This allows me to think that someone is killing these innocent animals. This problem has persisted for too long and must be stopped. The scriptures have the following to say on animal cruelty, “Whoever is righteous has regard for the life of his beast, but the mercy of the wicked is cruel.” (Proverbs 12:10) I leave you with this verse “O LORD, you preserve man and beast.” (Psalm 36:6) It is clear that God considers the life of each of his creations to be precious.

Praise the Lord everyone.  This is Sunday, and it is the Lord’s day.  It is a day that is set aside to turn our thoughts to God.  I truly hope that you went to church today and gave to God what is his.  If you are not giving to God part of your time, your energy, your finances, and your love  then you  are playing with fire.  One day it will come back and burn you.  I truly believe  if we don’t live by God’s word and do all we can to serve him, we will answer for it on judgment day.  Hell is going to be hot.  God’s word tells us to come together and worship him in Spirit and in truth.  If God said it, he means it.
I have no problem with going to church.  I love it.  All of it.  I love the singing and help with that.  I love the music.  The prayer request keeps me in touch with who need prayer.  When the preaching starts, I soak it in.  I want to know everything I can learn about what the word of God says.  I don’t want to miss anything, because applying the word of God to our life is what will help us to make it to heaven.  This is the most important thing we will ever do in our life.  Everything else will fall into place under the spiritual part of our life.
I’ve heard people complain before about how long the preacher preached.  I don’t care how long he preaches.  I’ll sit right there and listen.  I believe when God is finished, the preacher will stop.  I’ve heard people say they didn’t like how someone sung.  I don’t care if they sound like they’ve got a bucket over their head.  If it’s about God, it is beautiful.  Everything about God is beautiful, whether  it is a short sermon or long sermon.  Did you know someone with a beautiful voice can get up and sing for entertainment, and you can’t fill the spirit of God moving in the song, then all it is, is a beautiful song, and it doesn’t minister to your soul.  But if it is anointed, it will cause you to lift up your hands in praise and tears will flow down your cheeks.  God can speak to your spirit and bring comfort and peace.
We are living in a time when people have to be entertained.  The trouble  is that they don’t turn to the things of God to entertain themselves.  There is so many things out in the world that can grab people’s attention.  That is Satan’s business to make sure of that.  But now more than ever, it begins way back in early age in our very small children.  I know, because I have been a profession babysitter for 33 years.  When I first started, children would go outside and play.  They didn’t have to have store bought toys.  They entertained themselves.  As time has passed, they have gotten to where they wanted to stay inside.  They were bored they said.  We bought all kinds of outside toys.  It worked awhile.  Then came cell phones and these hand held games and IPod and all these types of things.  They don’t know about Bible games or even Bible’s or Bible tapes.  Friends, we need to wake up and teach our children about the things of God.  If we don’t, we are selling our children’s souls to the devil! Wake up America!  We are in trouble.  Look around you.  See the danger!
I’ll go for this week before I really start meddling.  I love you, and I’m concerned about what’s going on.  Call me at 662-724-4691 or write me at 425 West Alice Street, Noxapater, MS 39346 if I can help you or pray for you.  Remember, God is real, and he is trying to move in these last days.  I’ll be back next week, Lord willing.
