The Louisville High School boys and girls soccer teams will be wrapping up their seasons this week.

LHS was set to host league foes Southeast Lauderdale Tuesday and MSMS on Friday before ending the season at home against non-league opponent Winona on Saturday.

The Tuesday and Friday matches were set at 5 p.m. for the girls and 6:30 for the boys, with Saturday’s action slated to start at 1 p.m. and 2 p.m.

The Wildcats and Lady Wildcats dropped tough 2-0 losses to league opponent Philadelphia last week, while the matches with West Point were canceled due to inclement weather.

‘We played pretty well against Philadelphia, but both matches were very physical,” LHS head coach Jim Catchot said. The boys trailed Philly 1-0 at the half, but couldn’t score the equalizer before the Tornadoes finally went up 2-0.

“They are loaded with nine seniors, while I am starting four eighth graders,” Catchot said. “We played hard, but it was just difficult to match up with them physically.”
