Louisville Historic Preservation Commission holds meeting

The Historic Preservation Commission met on April 25th at the Chamber of Commerce. Julie Cunningham, Winston County Chancery Clerk, informed us of her many duties along with the Deputy Clerk Kimberly Higgason and Elizabeth Pollard. We also shared ideas of how the office could help the LHPC with homeowners in the historical district.
Other items on the agenda are, the return visit of Todd Sanders on May 20th at 10:00 a.m. in City Hall with information of tax credits on homes and businesses in the historical district, and our thanks to Linda Skelton’s help with publicity. Giles Ward also sent a letter thanking the LHPC for our support on the ongoing effort of friend of Legion State Park to secure funding for the restoration of the picnic pavilion.
The LHPC will meet on May 30th at 1:00 p.m. at the Chamber. Guests will be Catherine Anderson and Aileen de la Farre from the Mississippi Archives and History in Jackson.
