Louisville qualifies in 14 events for 3A North State meet

The Louisville High School boys and girls track teams had a successful Region 2-3A Track Meet in Winona last Saturday, bringing home first-place honors in four events and qualifying for the North State Meet in 14 events.
Shantianna Thames won the girls 100 meters with a time of 12.76 and the 200 meters with a time of 26.38, while Tamia Dora was first in the girls 800 meters with a time of 2:43.00 and the girls 4×100 meter relay team took first with a clocking of 51.95.
Diamond Wraggs was fourth in the girls 100 meters, while Marquesha Davis was fourth in the 200 meters. Coco Mays took fourth in the girls 300 hurdles and Monifah Haynes fourth in the 3200 meters.
In boys running events, Desmond Goss was fourth in the 100 meters and Andrew Coleman was fourth in the 3200 meters.
Girls field events saw Dora take second him the high jump and Davis take third in the triple jump.
Boys field events had A.J. Thompson taking fourth in the boys high jump, while Jermarcus Woods was third in the shot put.
The boys took second place finishes in the 4×100 and 4×200 relays, while the girls were second in the 4×200 and third in the 4×400.
The top four finishers in each event qualified for the 3A North State Meet which is set for Saturday.
