LPD make series of arrest in connection with string of burglaries

Investigators have arrested two suspects behind a string of break-ins and burglaries.

Police believe a group of at least 5 people is behind the crimes, which have been committed at homes and marijuana businesses. 4 of the 5 suspects are currently in custody, officers said Friday.

The Louisville Police Department over the past month has been investigating a string of business and vehicle burglaries and break-ins. The burglaries were committed at least 8 locations and were all linked.

As a result of the investigation with tips from the public and CrimeStoppers, two adult suspects have been arrested.

Tyrese Holmes of Louisville is charged with 8 counts of building burglaries and Darius Watson of Louisville is charged with 5 counts of building burglary. One juvenile has been questioned and charged.

More arrests may result from the continuing investigation.
