Marriage workshop completed

The Building Strong Families (BSF) Project, a division of Family Centered Programs and the Starkville School District, recently completed their first “Marriage Mentoring 12 Conversations” workshop. The story-based curriculum was created by Dr. Edward Gray. The class was held at Faith Tabernacle Church in Louisville, MS, and taught locally by BSF Marriage Educators: Dr. George Miller, Dr. John Daniels, Mr. Dave Yauk, and Ms. Barbara Culberson.

Marriage Mentoring is an educational program that matches mentor and mentee couples together. The couples hold multiple meetings and through guided conversations, share marriage-related stories and experiences.

Dr. Joan Butler and the entire staff of Family Centered Programs invitethe residents of Oktibbeha, Winston, and Choctaw Counties to takeadvantage of the many classes being offered through the Building StrongFamilies project such as parenting, how to manage your money, careerexploration and marriage and mentoring. Family Centered Programs is adivision of the Starkville School District located at 307 South Jackson Street-Green Street Entrance in Starkville, Mississippi.
