MSU Cheerleaders came to the nursing home and cheered, danced, and made pictures with the residents. “I had wonderful time and enjoyed them coming to visit,” stated Helen Middleton, Resident of WMCNH.
Lisa Pritchard, trainer for Champ (Bully XX), at Mississippi State University attended the event. Champ (Bully XX) has been trained by Lisa for the last five years. Champ visited residents and allowed each of them to spend a few moments with him and taking pictures.
“I am Mississippi State Bulldog and have been all my life!” “I was excited when I found out that were coming to the nursing home to see us,” stated Teresa Fulton, Resident.
The Residents prior to having the visit from the MSU students enjoyed a tailgate party. Residents enjoyed fried shrimp, baked potatoes or fries, cole slaw, and chocolate pie. The day was ended with a MSU party that included a Mississippi State University cake and bulldog paws!
“We have so many MSU fans in our nursing home.” “On game day, you can always be guaranteed that Residents are gathered at the front of the facility watching the games together and cheering on the Bulldogs.” “It was a very successful event and meant so much to all of our Residents,” stated Brandi Krajewski, WMC Marketing/Activity Director.
