Nanih Waiya Chapter of the DAR honors students

The Nanih Waiya Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution
held it’s March meeting at the Winston County Library to honor our
DAR Good Citizens from each of the five high schools in the county.

These winners were picked by a faculty committee at their school and
were honored with a certificate, a pin, and card.

An essay was written by each of the winners entitled: Our American
Heritage and Our Responsibility for Preserving It. The winner was
Brianna Davis representing Louisville High School. Miss Davis was
awarded a scholarship check for $300.

The other four seniors received scholarship monies of $50 each
