New organization promotes community unity through sports

The Louisville Bobcats (LBC) is the new community organization started by Lawrence Sangster that is focused on providing sports activities for the youth and adults in the Louisville and Winston County areas.

The Louisville Bobcats’ organizational mission is to promote wholesome development of our youth through sports activities and their association with adult leaders who are coaches and mentors. The Louisville Bobcats also hopes to encourage community sports activities for adults that will encourage a stronger community spirit and provide opportunities for our community to be healthier through sports. LBC activities would be dedicated to teaching youth and adults through positive role models. Our emphasis would not just be on playing sports but on learning about being of a team instilling high moral standards by stressing the importance of academic achievement and community involvement. LBC wants to help our youth and adults learn how to become leaders and will work to foster confidence and a sense of self-worth that extends beyond the athletic activities and into the school, family and community.

The peewee football program has started registration for the 2016 fall season. Open enrollment is available now. For more information call 662-803-8887. Next registration date is April 2 from 11am -2pm at Morning Manna (behind Eubanks Wrecker Service).

The Louisville Bobcats will host its Pee Wee football registration on March 5 at Morning Manna (behind Eubanks Wrecker Service) from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. $125 for players, $100 for cheerleaders. Will need copy of birth certificate. Age groups 6-12. Member of MS Gridiron Football League. #LBC will teach our youth the knowledge & basics of the game.
