The Winston County Board of Supervisors has unanimously voted to appoint Mrs. Judy Post as Winston County Library Board Trustee representing Beat 3. Mrs. Post replaces Mrs. Pat Fuller, who recentlyresigned from the Board, after serving for more than twelve years. Mrs. Post grew up in South Carolina, where she graduated from the University of South Carolina with a B. A. in Music Education.
She and her husband, Rev. Edward “Ned” Post served churches in Saskatchewan, Canada and then as missionaries in Mayalasia. She has taught piano and guitar, public school music, served as pianist and organist and choir director in several churches in Tennesee and South Carolina. She and her husband moved to Louisville in 1990, where he served the Beth-Eden/St. John’s Lutheran Parish until his death in 2005. She was then appointed by the bishop as Licensed Lay Minister and has served in that position until this time. She will be retiring at the end of June, but will continue to be involved with Beth-Eden as they eagerly await their new minister, Rev. Stacey Parvin and her family. “I have decided to remain in Louisville,” said Mrs. Post, “since I have lived longer here than anywhere else and feel this is really my home with my church family and friends. I am looking forward to retirement and getting to see my family, two children and four granddaughters, more often in Georgia and South Carolina, and I am also looking forward to spending more time with the library!”
