The hummer pizza party will be held on April 23rd. Parents are
welcome to come to Fair Elementary at 9:45 am to make pictures and
follow the hummer to Pizza Hut for lunch (Parents are responsible for
paying for their own lunch). The students must be at Pizza Hut by
10:15 am. There will be a total of 43 students that will be riding
in the stretch hummer. These students sold 18 or more items.
Congratulations to all of those who won cash prizes and a stretch
hummer ride and party! Thank you for all your support!
Spring pictures will be made on Wednesday, April 24th. There
are 2 packages available for pre-order. Students MUST bring the
spring pictures form and the correct dollar amount on April 24th to
have his or her picture taken (NO checks will be accepted, Cash or
Credit/Debit Card ONLY). Package A is $15 and includes 1-5×7, 2-4×6,
and 4 wallets. Package B is $20 and includes 2-5×7, 4-4×6, and 6
wallets. Children can wear a spring outfit, or suit, or spring
shirt. If your child is not wearing a complete outfit, uniform
bottoms must be worn. NO blue jeans.
Field Day is being held on Mary 20th this year. Your child is
NOT required to have a “Field Day” T-shirt in order to participate.
If you would like to purchase a “Field Day” T-shirt, the cost is $10
per shirt. Money and forms for the T-shirts must be turned in no
later than April 24th.
Fair Elementary is still selling cookbooks as a fundraiser for
Relay for Life. The cookbooks are $10.00 each and contain recipes
from local parents, teachers, and some students. If you are
interested in purchasing a “Cooking for a Cause” cookbook, please
come by Fair Elementary School’s office. We appreciate your help and
support in raising money for Relay for Life.
Fair Elementary is hosting a spring “Be A Hero” blood
drive on April 26th from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm in the Bloodmobile. A
special “Hero” T-shirt will be given to every student who recruits a
SUCCESSFUL blood donor. You can go online to schedule an appointment
@ www.bloodhero.com and use sponsor code: fairbeahero. You can save
time by completing the health history questionnaire online before you
donate blood. Simply go to www.UnitedBloodServices.org/
HealthHistory.html . ***IMPORTANT*** Be sure to print the Fast Track
Donation Ticket and bring it with you to the blood drive. We can all
help our community by rolling up our sleeves and giving someone the
“Gift of Life”!
We are still collecting loose change for our “Loose Change”
fundraiser for Relay for Life. Our last day for this fundraiser will
be May 1st. We will count each homeroom’s change and see which one
collected the most loose change. Whichever homeroom collected the
most loose change will get to have a Pizza Party! The date of the
Pizza Party will be announced at a later time.
A “Free” Health Fair is being offered on April 22nd from 9:00
am until 12:00 pm at the Louisville Municipal School Family Center
(202 Ivy Avenue). Cholesterol screenings, blood sugar checks, blood
pressure checks, vision screenings, drug abuse/awareness information,
and tobacco cessation information will be offered at this event.
