Noxapater High School standout Treasure Lynch posted a distance of 33 feet, 7 inches to take home the gold medal in the girls triple jump in the MHSAA Class 1A State Track Meet at Pearl High School on Monday.
Kiera Phillips, Lynch’s teammate, was third in the girls triple jump with a distance of 33 feet, 3 inches, while Lynch took fourth in the girls 100 meters with a time of 13.18. The girls 4×200 meter relay team took third with a time of 1:53.35.
Jarrius Miller was fifth in the boys 1600 meters with a time of 5:10.73, while Trevara Miller was seventh in the boys discus with a distance of 108 feet, 10 inches and Olivia McDonald was eighth in the girls 400 meters with a time of 1:08.97. The boys 4×200 relay team finished seventh with a time of 1:39.64.
Mound Bayou JFK won the girls side of the meet with 109 points, while Coldwater was second with 81.50 points and Myrtle was third with 53 points. Noxapater scored 28 points to finish ninth. Hinds AHS took the boys title with a whopping 197 points, while Mound Bayou JFK was second with 55 points, and Ashland was third with 42 points. Noxapater was eighth with 17 points.
