Mr. John Billy Freshour

Mr. John Billy Freshour, 86, passed away Monday, December 2, 2013, at his residence in Macon, Mississippi. Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 4, 2013, at Mashulaville Baptist Church in Noxubee County, Mississippi, with Rev. Bobby Parish officiating. Visitation was the day of the service from 9 a.m. until service time at Mashulaville Baptist Church. Interment will followed in the Mashulaville Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Freshour was born on May 12, 1927, to Alford and Addie Rogers Freshour. He was a member of Mashulaville Baptist Church and he was an auto mechanic at the Brunt Ward dealership in Louisville, Mississippi.

Mr. Freshour is survived by his two sisters, Jessie Gillis and Audrie Oechele. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers were be Norman Gillis, Ryan Conner, Phillip Higginbotham, Richard Gaylord, Justin Moffett and James Moffett. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Bobby White, Buddy Chappell, Eddie Gaylord, Lamar White and Petey Freshour.

Mr. Robbie Lovorn

Robbie Lovorn, 58, passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2013, at his residence in Louisville, Mississippi. Visitation was at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville, Mississippi, on Sunday, December 8, 2013, from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Monday, December 9, 2013, in the Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Becky Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Robbie was born November 23, 1955, to Dorothy Smyth Lovorn and Robert E. Lovorn, Sr. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and he was a business owner.

Mr. Lovorn is survived by his mother, Dorothy Dan Lovorn of Louisville; his sister, Emily McIlwain of Collinsville, Mississippi; and his brother, John Lovorn of Flowood, Mississippi. Robbie is also survived by his daughters, Anna Claire Sanford and Melissa Grace Anderson both of Decatur, Mississippi; and he has two grandchildren and one niece, and three nephews, Serving as pallbearers are Joey Partridge, Allan Lovorn, Daniel Lovorn, Dalton McIlwain, Randy Vowell, and Buddy Gregory. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Curtis Balius. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be given to Friends of Nanih Waiya Community Park, P. O. Box 83, Louisville, MS 39339.

Mr. Paul B. Woods

Funeral services for Mr. Paul B. Woods will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday, December 14, 2013 from John E. Stephens Chapel with Rev. Eric Sharp officiating. Interment will be in White Oak Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Friday, December 13, 2013 at John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services.

Mr. Woods, 82, passed away on Monday, December 9, 2013 at Neshoba County General Hospital. He lived in the Zion Community most of his life. He was a farmer and logger. He was a member of White Oak Baptist Church.

Mr. Woods is survived by his daughters, Kay Snow of Phila, MS and Lisa Thompson of Phila, MS; son, Paul Ray Woods of Phila, MS; sisters, Darthy McAdory of Phila, MS, Reba Barrett of Phila, MS & Betsy Eakes of Vicksburg, MS; (5) grandchildren; (5) great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers are Wesley Spears, Mike Nance, Greg Barrett, Bobby Ryals, Jackson Breazeale, Edsel Adams and Allen Tucker.


Mrs. Anna Battle

Funeral services for Ms. Anna M. Battle were be held at 2 PM Tuesday, December 10, 2013 at John E. Stephens Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Tolbert officiating. Interment was in East Lawn Cemetery. John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Anna M. Battle, 61, passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2013 at Neshoba County Nursing Home. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Hickory United Methodist Church.

Ms. Battle is survived by her daughters, Laurie Price of Philadelphia, MS & Jennie Bobo of Carthage, MS; mother, Olive Meaders of Hickory, MS; mother-in-law, Jean Battle of Philadelphia, MS; sisters, Jean Brown of Chunky, MS and Emily Craven of Collinsville, MS; (5) grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Bill Howell, Brent Brown, David Boswell, Michael Vowell, Christopher Meaders & Scottie Smith.


Ms. Maxine McNeill

Maxine McNeill passed away at 11a.m. on September 9, 2013 in Fort Worth, TX.

Memorial service and burial will be held this Saturday, 12/14, from 10 to 11 AM at Porter Funeral Home. Private graveside service at Memorial Park will follow.

She is survived by three children: Teddy Hadder of Fort Worth, Texas, Kathy Johnston of West Monroe, Louisiana, and Don McNeill of Mbarara, Uganda, 9 grandchildren and greatgrandchildren.

She is also survived by a sister, Marjorie Hudson of Louisville, and many nieces and nephews.
