Funeral services for Ms Rachael Maebell Gage, 96, were held at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday January 7, 2014 at Center Hill Church of God In Christ. Rev. Clifton Haynes officiating. Burial followed in the Gage cemetery.

a member of Center Hill Church of God In Christ, and was a homemaker. She was born in Louisville October 21, 1917 and died at her daughter’s home in Chicago Il. Friday December 27, 2013.

Survivors are seven daughter, Bernice Austin, Helen Williams, Bobbie Mae, Charlene Eldridge, Voila Jackson, Dora Adams and Shirley Gage, three sons; George Gage. Herman Gage and Ray Charles Gage and twenty-four grandchildren, thirty-four great grandchildren, seven great great grandchildren and nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends

Mr. Clayton Bassett Sikes

Graveside service for Mr. Clayton Bassett Sikes was held at 2 PM Friday, January 17, 2014 at White Oak Cemetery with military honors. Rev. Chris Vowell officiated. John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Sikes, 97, passed away on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at his residence in Little Rock, MS. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a mechanical shop owner. He was a Baptist.

Mr. Sikes is survived by his daughter, Gayle Easter of Little Rock, MS; (2) grandchildren, (1) great-grandchild.

 

Rev. Michael Gray

Funeral services for Rev. Michael Gray were held at 11 AM Saturday, January 18, 2014 from North Bend United Pentecostal Church with Rev. Adrian Holley, Rev. Nathan Moore and graveside was Rev. Benny Alford officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.

Rev. Gray, 39, passed away on Thursday, January 16, 2014 at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian, MS. He lived in the North Bend Community most of his life. He attended JCM. He was currently associate pastor of The Sanctuary, where he is a member.

He is survived by his wife, Regina Gray of Phila, MS; daughter, Anna Lavelle Gray of Phila, MS; son, Austin Michael Gray of Phila, MS; mother, Judy Gray of Sebastopol, MS; sisters, Joey Hannah, Stephen of Ethel, MS and Trixxy Vowell of Sebastopol, MS; brothers Casey Gray of Sebastopol, MS

Pallbearers were Kevin Alford, Mitchell Peden, Justin Peden, Shannon Barrier, Barry Fulton, Hunter Holley, Jonathan Stringfellow, Chancy Branning, Tommy Alford, Jason Fulton, Stephen Spire, Shan Winstead & Brad Gray.

 

Mrs. Vastie Ball

Funeral services for Mrs. Vastie Ball, 81, were held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday January 18, 2014 at Union Chapel M.B. Church. Rev. Billy Clay officiating. Burial followed in the church cemetery.

A native of Winston County, Mrs. Ball was a member of Union Chapel M.B. Church., and was a retired homemaker. She was born in Winston County August 11, 1932 and died at the Winston County Nursing Home, Wednesday January 15, 2014.

Survivors are one daughter, Chandra Miller of Louisville, three sons Edward Hunt and Dickie Ray Hunt both of Louisville and Michael Hunt of South Bend IN.; one sister MS Louise Gibbons and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends

Mr. Ricky Dean Ball

Funeral services for Mr. Ricky Dean Ball, 53, were held at 11:00 a.m. Monday January 20, 2014 at William & Hampton Chapel. Rev. John Ball officiating. Burial followed in the VA cemetery in Newton, MS.

A native of Winston County, Mr. Ball was a member of Harper Chapel M.B. Church., and a Veteran in Desert Storm. He was born in Winston County November 3, 1960 and died at the Central MS Medical Center, Thursday January 16, 2014.

Survivors are his wife Tina Ball of Hattiesburg; three sisters Johnnie Robertson, Annie Mae Macon, and Eddie Ruth Cistrunk; two brothers Rev John Ball and Willie L Ball both of Louisville; two aunts and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
