Mr. Willie Hayes Burkes
Funeral services for Mr. Willie Hayes Burkes was held at 2 PM Sunday, July 20, 2014 from John E. Stephens Chapel with Rev. Bill Cox and Rev.

Al Crawford officiating. Interment was in White Oak Cemetery. John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Burkes, 94, passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at Montfort Jones Memorial Hospital in Kosciusko, MS. He lived in the Arlington Community most of his life. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a retired mechanic. He was a member of White Oak Baptist Church.
He is survived by his son, Willie Bryant Burkes of Phila, MS; two granddaughters; a grandson; two great-granddaughters; 4 great-grandsons.
Pallbearers are Mike Snow, Jackson Breazeale, Johnny Nolan, Stanley Breazeale, Conner Cox, Ricky Walker and  Jamie Breazeale.

Mr. Keith Creekmore
Funeral services for Mr. Keith Creekmore were held at 2 PM Tuesday, July 22, 2014 from John E. Stephens Chapel with Rev. Rusty Walton officiating. Interment was in Pine Grove Cemetery in House, MS. John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Creekmore, 61, passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at Laird Hospital in Union, MS. He was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church.
He is survived by his daughters, Darlene Dunn of Phila, MS, Crystal Leach of Union, MS and Taylor Creekmore of Union, MS; sons, Michael Creekmore of Oxford, MS, Chris Creekmore of Conehatta, MS, Travis Creekmore (Anna) of Phila, MS and Thomas Creekmore of Union, MS; sisters, Myra Byars of Phila, MS and Dianne Smith of Phila, MS; brother, Ricky Creekmore of Phila, MS; (14) grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Chris Creekmore, Travis Creekmore, Thomas Creekmore, Michael Leach Sr., Michael Leach Jr., Richie Creekmore.
Ms. Dorothy (Ms. Dot) Triplett
Funeral services for Ms. Dorothy (Ms. Dot) Triplett were held 2:00 p.m., July 18, 2014 at Unity M.B. Church with Rev. Willie Lee Triplett officiating. Interment followed in the Memorial Garden cemetery.
Ms. Triplett was a native of Winston County. She was born June 7, 1960 and passed away July 9, 2014 at the age of 54 years. Ms. Triplett was a disabled worker and a member of Unity M.B. church.
She is survived by her daughters LaShonda Triplett of Fresno, California; Shannon Triplett and Diawankiee Triplett all of Louisville, MS; sisters Nellie Miller and Jerlean McCant both of Milwaukee, WI; brothers Lemar Triplett of Louisville, MS and a host of nieces, nephews and friends; and five grandchildren.

Ms. Betty R. Lockett
Funeral services for Ms. Betty R. Lockett were held 2:00 p.m., July 19, 2014 at Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church with Rev. Gregory Eichelberger officiating. Interment followed in the Springhill cemetery.
Ms. Lockett was a native of Winston County. She was born January 23, 1956 and passed away July 11, 2014 at the age of 58 years. Ms. Lockett was a disabled worker and a member of Rocky Hill M.B. Church.
She is survived by her daughters Tanisha L. Lockett and Merredythe R. Eiland both of Louisville, MS, sisters Selma Triplett, Marle Thames, Kathe Hughes all of Louisville, MS; Brenda Lockett of West Point, MS; Gloria Johnson of North Carolina, brothers Victor Lockett of Orlando, Fl; Prentiss Lockett of Macon, MS; Douglas Lockett of Louisville, MS, 3 grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Mr. Denton Jenkins
Mr. Denton Jenkins, 93, retired farmer and manager of Choctaw Butane, died July 8, 2014 at his residence in Ackerman.
Funeral services were held noon, Friday July 11 at Chester Baptist Church outside of Ackerman with burial in the Church Cemetery. Bro. Rob Faulk and Bro. Jerry Grammer officiated.
Pallbearers were; Bobby McKay, Neil Clayton, Clint Scrivener, Heath and Jonathan Peeples and Seth Myers.
Mr. Jenkins was a member of the Chester Baptist Church and an Army Veteran.
He is survived by four daughters; Patricia Nettles, Judy Peeples and Rachel McKay all of Ackerman and Michelle Scrivener of Maben, one son; Howell Jenkins, Starkville. and a brother; Tom Jenkins, Louisville, twelve grandchildren and a host of great grandchildren.
Oliver Funeral Home of Eupora was in charge of all arrangements.

Mr. James Franklin Townsend
Tuesday, July 15, 2014
James Franklin Townsend, 42, died on July 15, 2014 in Louisville. He is survived by his parents, Geneva and Jerry Townsend; two daughters, Beka Townsend and Darrion L. Wesley; four grandchildren; one brother, Thomas (Kay) Townsend; and one sister, Jerri (Tim) Cutlip.
Mr. Townsend was buried on July 18, 2014 in the private Townsend Family Cemetery in McCool.

Walter Beal Moore
Macon, MS
Walter Beal Moore, 87, of Macon, MS passed away at his home on Monday, July 14, 2014. His funeral service were held on Thursday, July 17, at 10:30 A.M. from Noxubee Christian Center in Macon with Bro Jimmy Hunter officiating. Interment followed at Soule Chapel Cemetery near Macon. Public visitation was held on Wednesday from 7 P.M.  until 9 P.M. at Cockrell Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. Cockrell Funeral Home (www.cockrellfuneralhome.com) is entrusted with the service arrangements.
Walter Beal Moore was born in Noxubee County, MS on January 10, 1927 to the late William Hobson and Willie Dell Taylor Moore. He served in the U.S. Army near the end of World War II.  Mr. Moore worked in Columbus, MS at Mitchell Engineering (now CECO) and retired after 28 years of service.  
Mr. Moore is survived by his wife: Frances Moore of Macon; four daughters: Elaine Sigafoose of Columbus, MS; Fran Herrick also of Columbus, MS; Brenda Oswalt of Macon; and Faith Rushton of Aberdeen, MS. Also left to mourn his passing are two sisters: Pam Gentry of Longview, MS and Texa Ray Reynolds of Birmingham, ALA. as well as eleven grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.

Mr. Terry Lavell Atkinson
Funeral services for Mr. Terry Lavell Atkinson were  held at 11 AM Saturday, July 19, 2014 from John E. Stephens Chapel with Rev. John Stephens and Rev. Duane Morgan officiating. Interment was in Salem Cemetery. John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Atkinson, 51, passed away on Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at his residence in the Burnside Community. He was a truckdriver. Mr. Atkinson was a member of Noxapater Methodist Church.
He is survived by his daughter, Katelyn Galasti of Atlanta, GA; son, Brandon Atkinson of Phila, MS; parents, Punk and Iva Nell Atkinson of Phila, MS; sister, Cindy Crenshaw of Phila, MS; brother, Tracy Atkinson of Phila, MS; (2) nieces, ; (2) nephews; (1) great-niece, host of uncles, aunts, cousins and other relatives.
Pallbearers are Donnie Atkinson, Cassidy Crenshaw, Derek Crenshaw, Josh Cumberland, Ben Atkinson, Eddie Nowell, Eddie Taylor & Richard Joiner.

Mr.Jimmie L. Comans
Graveside service for Mr. Jimmie L. Comans were held at 11 AM Tuesday, July 22, 2014 from Antioch Cemetery in Edinburg with Rev. John Stephens officiating. John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Comans, 70, passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2014 at Regency Hospital in Jackson, MS after a long bout of illness. He had been a resident of Lincoln Residential in Brookhaven, MS . He was pentecostal.
He is survived by his sisters, Shirley Stacey of Louisiana and Polly Brown of Phila, MS; several nieces and nephews.
