Walter Lee Henley

Funeral services for Mr. Walter Lee Henley, 93, were held at Mount Moriah M.B. Church of Louisville on May 6, 2017 at 2:00 pm. Rev. Benjamin Pittman officiated. Burial followed at Memorial Gardens cemetery in Louisville.

Native of Louisville, Mr. Henley was a laborer. He was also a member of Mount Moriah M. B. Church of Louisville. Mr. Henley died on April 29, 2017.

Survivors include wife, Tiller Henley; daughters, Beatrice Hamilton of Delmar MD, Pearl Bates of Washington DC, Ethel Love of Chicago IL, Emma Matthews and Carolyn Matthews both of Louisville; sons, Jimmy C., Howard, Jesse, and Billy Ray all of Louisville, and Eddie B. of Oxford MS; 33 grandchildren; 50 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great- grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mrs. Linda J. Love Lee

Funeral services for Mrs. Linda J. Love Lee, 55, were held on May 7, 2017 at Mt. Pleasant #1 M.B. Church of Louisville at 2:00 pm. Rev. Willie Daniels officiated. Burial followed at Union Chapel cemetery.

Native of Louisville. Mrs. Lee was a teacher. She was also a member of Mt. Pleasant #1 M.B. Church of Louisville. Mrs. Lee died on May 1, 2017.

Survivors include husband, Shirley Lee; daughters, Corwanda Baker, and Akenia Love; step-daughters, Ebony Lee and Jalisha Lee; son, Marquentin Love; step-sons, Brandy Galdney, Shirley Lee, and Jerry Lee; sisters, Bettie Holmes, Katherine Eicherlberger, and Debbie Love-Lee; brothers, Willie Love and Johnny Love; 3 grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Bill Shaffer

Services for John William “Bill” Shaffer, 68, of Eupora were May 4, 2017, at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel in Eupora with the Revs. Don Shaffer and Willy Weddle officiating. Burial was in Sapa Cemetery.

Mr. Shaffer was a member of Sapa Baptist Church. He died May 1, 2017, at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle in Columbus.

Survivors include two brothers, Joe Shaffer of Eupora and Danny Shaffer of New Albany.

Pallbearers were James Baxter, Homer Box, John David Haynes, Rodney Henley, Shaney Jackson and John Strickland.

 

James Terry

Sims

May 3, 2017

Services for James Terry Sims, 48, of Mantee were May 5, 2017, at Oliver Funeral Home Chapel in Eupora with the Rev. Carl Morris officiating. Burial was in Montevista Cemetery.

Mr. Sims was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church in Webster County. He died May 3, 2017, at his residence.

Survivors include his mother, Elizabeth Lorene Sims of Eupora; a sister, Melissa McKee of Pheba; and two brothers, Billy Earl Sims and Travis Lee Sims of Mantee.

Pallbearers were Ken Mitchell, Teral Sims, Chris Williamson, Brad Winfield, Brant Winfield, Scott Winfield, Todd Winfield and Mike Womack.

Mrs. Emma Jean Floyd

Funeral services for Mrs. Emma Jean Floyd, 80, were held at Mt. Sinai M.B. Church of Louisville on May 6, 2017 at 11:00 am. Rev. George W. Love officiated. Burial followed at Mt. Cannie cemetery in Louisville.

Native of Louisville, Mrs. Floyd was a homemaker. She died on April 29, 2017.

Survivors include husband, James Lee Floyd; daughters, Catherine Floyd, Emma Haynes, Irene Wilder, Ora Moore, and Leatha Huddelston; son, Dewayne Floyd; brother, L. V. Robinson of Saginaw MI; 36 grandchildren; 58 great-grandchildren; 8 great-great- grandchildren; as well as nieces, nephews, and cousins.
