Mr. Clark Hodge

Mr. Clark Hodge, 61, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, May 30, 2017, at Baptist Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. Funeral services were 2 p.m., Friday, June 2, 2017, in the Nowell Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Mike Fuller officiating. Visitation was the day of the service from 12 p.m. until service time at Nowell Massey Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Clark was born August 7, 1955, to Durant and Pearl Clark Hodge. Currently, he was an accountant at Joe Hodge CPA firm where he had worked for many years.

Clark is survived by his brother, Joe Hodge and wife, Kathy, of Louisville; and three nieces: Dana Hodge Hisaw also of Louisville; Brandi Hodge Provias of Aberdeen, Mississippi; and Robin Hodge Holt of Cumming, Georgia.

Memorial contributions in honor of Clark may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P. O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142.

 

Mr. Curtis Davis, Jr.

Funeral Services for Mr. Curtis Davis, Jr., 85, were held on June 3rd, 2017 at 12pm at Truth Church in Louisville. Dr. Melissa Davis officiated. Burial services were held at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Native of Louisville, Mr. Davis was born on January 2nd, 1932. He was a laborer and a member of Truth Church of Louisville. He died on May 27th, 2017 in his home due to cardiac arrest.

Survivors include wife, Joan Davis; daughter, Melissa Davis of Louisville; sons, Cyrus Davis of Norcross, GA, and Terrence Davis of Louisville; sisters, Nancy Lard of Moultrie, GA, Dorothy Glenn of North Carolina, Pauline Davis of Moultrie, GA, and Nettie Green of Chicago, IL; brother, Arthur Davis of Moultrie, GA; as well as 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.

Beck Funeral Home of Louisville was in charge of arrangements.

 

Mr. James Edward Moore

Funeral Services for Mr. James Edward Moore, 74, were held on June 3rd, 2017 at 2pm at Pleasant Ridge M.B. Church in Noxapater. Rev. David Harris, Sr. officiated. Burial services were held at Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Native of Noxapater, Mr. Moore was born on August 6th, 1942. He was a plumber and died on May 29th, 2017 at Jeff Anderson Hospital in Meridian due to cardiac arrest.

Survivors include daughters, Lerner Marshall, Laurie Smith, and Mary Lynch all of Noxapater, Teresa Lynch of Jonesboro, GA, and Karnina Triplett and Liz Baxtrum; sons, James Terrell Moore, Bardra Lyons and Bwelle Lyons all of Noxapater, and Marcus Coleman of Philadelphia; sisters, Arnita Hudson, Martha Jean Hudson, Mami Sue Hudson, and Patsy Lynn Hudson all of California; brothers, Dwight Hudson, Andrew Hudson, Willie Frank Hudson, and Lavelle Hudson; as well as 18 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
