Funeral services for Jeremih Ireon Brown, 5, were held at Union Chapel M. B. Church in Louisville on July 12, 2017 at 12:00pm. Bishop Chris Chamberlin officiated. Burial followed at New Zion Cemetery.

Jeremih Brown was born on December 19, 2011 and died on July 4, 2017 at his home in Louisville.

Survivors include father, Frankie M. Brown; mother, Jessica Brown; brother, Da’Rico J. Brown; grandparents, Ira and Doris Boyd, Min. Barbara & Frankie L. Brown; aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Johnny William Hickman

Funeral Services for Mr. Johnny William Hickman, 64, were held on July 14, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Pilgrim Rest M. B. Church of Louisville. Elder John Eichelberger officiated. Burial held at Pilgrim Rest Cemetery.

Native of Louisville, Mr. Hickman was born on October 29, 1952. He was a laborer and a member of Pilgrim Rest M. B. Church of Louisville. He died on July 8, 2017 at his home in Louisville.

Survivors include wife, Adale Hickman; son, Kendrick Hickman, Sr. of Hernando MS; sister, Georgia Walker of Louisville; brothers, Bobby, Joe, and Matthew Hickman all of Louisville; 2 grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

Mr. Mordean Haynes Triplett

Funeral services for Mrs. Mordean Haynes Triplett, 90, were held on July 16, 2017 at 3:00 pm at Beck Funeral Home in Louisville. Dr. W. J. Coleman, Jr. officiated cremation services.

Native of Louisville, Mrs. Mordean Triplett was a homemaker and a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church of Louisville. She was born on November 23, 1926 and died on July 11, 2017 at her home in Louisville.

Survivors include daughter, Shawn M. Triplett of Lousiville; 2 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Mamie Dell Miller Warren

Evangelist Mamie Dell Miller Warren, 83, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 5th, 2017 at her home in Louisville. Mamie was bon on March 20th, 1934 in Wier, MS to Floyd and Cora Miller.

Mamie is survived by her loving husband, Terry Warren, of Louisville; 5 Daughters and 1 God-Daughter, Elder Cora Goss Jackson of Zachary, LA, Sarah Carter of Clinton, LA, Mary (Levell) Pace of Biloxi, MS, Olivia Goss of Clinton, LA, Linda (Ricky) Curtis of Louisville, and Minister Carol Montgomery of Baton Rouge, LA; Mamie is survived by her 2 sisters, Ella Fox of Ashtabula, Ohio and Dorothy Turner of Chicago, IL. Mamie has 26 grandchildren, a host grandchildren and great grandchildren, as well as nieces, nephews, and other relatives.


Shaneka Culberson-Graham

Shaneka Culberson was born on July 5th, 1978 to Mrs. Evergreen and Mr. Willie Culberson. She was one of three children. Shaneka departed this life on July 4th, 2017. She leaves to cherish her memories of her husband, Kenneth Graham; her mother, Evergreen McDonald and stepdad, Leon McDonald of Noxapater; two daughters, Kamry and Shanila Graham of Louisville; three sisters, Shannon Culberson of Baton Rouge, LA, Alayna McDonald of Atlanta, GA, and Virginia McDonald of Noxapater; one brother, Deon Culberson of Sacramento, CA; as well as a host of family and friends.


Cherry Alice Plymon

Funeral services of Mrs. Cherry Alice Plymon, 91, were held at Skelton Funeral Home Chapel in Reform, AL. Rev. Roy Gene Plymon and John Mikel Plymon officiated. Burial followed at Mt. Moriah Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery in Gordo, AL.

Native of Louisville, Mrs. Plymon was a member of Mt. Moriah Free Will Baptist Church of AL. She was also a retired employee of United Technologies in Columbus, MS. She was born on June 2, 1926 and died on July 11, 2016 at her residence.

Survivors include daughters, Barbara Plymon Fulcher of Louisville; sons, Rev. Roy Gene Plymon of Ethelsville AL and John Mikel Plymon of Kenly, NC.; 9 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Orvlie Hunt

Funeral services for Mrs. Orvlie Hunt, 92, were held at First Unity UM Church in Weir on July 15th at 2:30 p.m. Burial was at the church cemetery.

A native of Choctaw County, Mrs. Hunt was a housekeeper. Mrs. Hunt was a member of First Unity UM Church.  Mrs. Hunt died on Thursday, July 6th, 2017 at Choctaw Regional Medical Center.

Survivors include husband, Sammie Hunt Sr. of Weir; daughters Frances McKinney and Armerille Johnson of Weir; daughter Jacqueline Eichelberger of Saginaw, MI; sister Mamie Cortrell of Desplant, IL; brothers John Lane of Ackerman, Ladell Lane of Evanston, IL, Oliver Lane of Chicago, IL, and J.C. Lane of Phoenix, AZ; 7 grandchildren.

Turman Kallunki

Graveside services for Rose Evelyn Turman Kallunki, 86, will be at 1 p.m. July 21, 2017, at Spring Valley Cemetery in Mathiston.

Formerly of Mantee, she was born May 21, 1931, to the late Claudia Ellen Kunkleman Turman and Bob Mayo Turman. Mrs. Kallunki died July 6, 2017, at her home in Pittsburg, California.

Survivors include two sons, Charles Parker II of Pittsburg and James “Fred” Parker of Fremont, California; and two brothers, James Richard Turman of Nesbit and Claude Evans Turman of Mantee.


Edgar Lamar “Ed” Swain

Mr. Edgar Lamar “Ed” Swain, 73, passed away on

Saturday, July 15, 2017, at North Mississippi Medical

Center in Tupelo, MS. Funeral services were held at 2:00

P. M. on Tuesday, July 18th, at Porter Funeral Home, with

Pastor Travis Byars officiating. Interment was in Mars

Hill Cemetery. Porter Funeral Home was in charge of


Mr. Swain was born February 25, 1944, in Rayville,

LA. Ed was the long time owner of Swain Printing in

Louisville. He was member of the Church of Christ. He

was preceded in death by his parents, Ethel and Clayborne

Eugene Swain; and a brother, Carl Swain.

Ed is survived by his wife of 54 years, Nancy Kea

Swain; a daughter, Eva Sullivan and her husband, Pat;

four sisters, Lucy Pettit, Inez Smithey, Glenda Cox, and

Marlene Harrell; three brothers, Tommy Swain, Rodney

Swain, and Benny Swain; and two grandchildren, Clark

Sullivan and Kayla-Kea Duran.

Pallbearers were Dylan Tabor, Daniel Halfacre, Drew

Fulcher, Christian Fulcher, Austin Linch, Hunter Sanders,

Hunter Shafer, and Clayton Rigdon.

Thomas J. “TJ” McAdory

Thomas J. “TJ” McAdory, 98, of Bartlett, Tennessee

died Saturday, July 15, 2017 at his residence in Bartlett.

He had lived there for four years, moving there from

Jonesboro. He was of the Nazarene belief. He retired after

20 years from the US Navy. While serving in WWII he

was a Pearl Harbor survivor aboard the DD390 Ralph Talbot.

After cutting the mooring lines and headed out to sea,

they were able to shoot down three enemy planes on their

captainless boat. He helped commission three ships and

served in the S. Pacific during the war, including Guadalcanal.

After the war, he worked in civil service and raised

Limousin cattle. He was preceded in death by his wife of

60 years, Audrey A. McAdory; son, John Holman

McAdory; grandson, Kevin Jumper; and all of his siblings.

Survivors include his son, Reverend Thomas E.

McAdory (Ronda) of Cordova, Tennessee; daughter, Audrey

Fay Jumper (Marvin) of Jonesboro; grandchildren,

John Martin, Deanna McAdory, Reverend Michael

McAdory, Darin Jumper, Shawn McAdory and Nicholas

McAdory; great grandchildren, Samantha, Chandler, Mia,

Chad, Sydney and Drake.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, July

19, 2017 at Lorado Baptist Church with Reverend Thomas

McAdory and Reverend Michael McAdory officiating and

Emerson in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow at

Lorado Cemetery and the US Navy will serve as pallbearers

and military honors will be presented at the gravesite.

Visitation will be from 10:30 Wednesday morning until

service time.

Steven Payne Donaldson

Steven Payne Donaldson passed away at home unexpectedly

on Saturday, July 15, 2017. He was 57 years old.

He was born in Jacksonville, Florida on January 5,

1960. He graduated from Robert S. Caldwell High School

in Columbus, MS in 1979.

Steven was preceded in death by his grandparents

Charles Thaddeus Hodges and Azzie Lee (Lewis) Hodges

of Mathiston, MS and Joseph Forney Donaldson and Myrtle

Irene (Shipman) Donaldson of Haleyville, AL and his father

Harold William “Buck” Donaldson of Columbus, MS.

He is survived by his mother Lois Donaldson of

Columbus, MS, sister Beverly Hammett (Donnie) of

Starkville, MS, brother Paul Donaldson of Madison, MS,

sister Cindy Starkey (Paul) of Fair Oaks Ranch, TX,

brother Patrick Donaldson (Arlen) of Frisco, TX and a son

Joshua Keith Donaldson of Roanke, VA along with numerous

nieces and nephews.

Mr. Donaldson was a past member of the local

Plumbers and Pipefitters Union (now located in Vicksburg,

MS) and a current member of the Columbus #5 F & AM

Masonic Lodge of Columbus, MS.

He was a member of the former Broadacres United

Methodist Church in Columbus, MS.

The family will be receiving visitors on Wednesday,

July 19 from 9 -10 AM at Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral

services will be from 10 – 11 AM at Memorial Funeral

Home with the Rev. Hal Selby of Adaton Baptist

Church in Starkville, MS officiating. Burial will follow

at Sapa Cemetery in Eupora, MS with Masonic Rites.

Pallbearers will be: Donnie Hammett, Shannon Hammett,

Todd Pedersen, Kyle Hindeman, Paul Donaldson and

Andrew Donaldson.
