Funeral services for Ruby Lee Hibbler, 89, were held at First Baptist Wahalak Church of Shuqualak MS on July 26, 2017 at 11:00 am. Rev. Marcus Lawrence officiated. Burial followed at church cemetery.

Mrs. Ruby Lee Hibbler was a homemaker and a member of Frist Baptist Wahalak Church of Shuqualak, MS. She was born on November 28, 1927 and died on July 18, 2017 at Merit Health Care of Brandon MS.

Survivors include daughters, Sheralyn Hibbler of Jackson MS and Annette Wells of Richland MS; sons, Joe Louis Allen of Detroit MI and Michael Spencer of Frasier MI; 12 grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and other cousins and friends.

AL G. Hughes

July 19, 2017

Funeral services for AL G. Hughes, 57, were held at Oak Grove #2 M.B. Church of Louisville on July 29, 2017 at 11:00 am. Rev. Anthony Thames officiated. Burial followed at church cemetery.

Mr. AL G. Hughes was a retired supervisor at EMEPA and a member of Oak Grove #2 MB Church. He was born on September 14, 1959 and died on July 19, 2017 at his home in Louisville.

Survivors include sisters, Carrie Shields and Evelyn Hughes both of Louisville, and Diana Johnson of Lucedale, MS; brothers, Harmon Coleman and Aaron Coleman both of Saginaw, MI., and Milton Hughes of Los Angeles CA; aunt, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Callie Lou Stone

July 21, 2017

Funeral services for Mrs. Callie Lou Stone, 77, were held at Friendship MB Church of Ackerman on July 29, 2017 at 2:00 pm. Rev. Charlie Davis officiated. Burial followed at Enon Cemetery.

Mrs. Callie Lou Stone was a homemaker. She was also a member of Friendship MB Church of Ackerman MS. She was born on September 11, 1939 and died on July 21, 2017 at NMMC of Tupelo, MS.

Survivors include sisters, Ina Lee Gladney, Shirley Mae Robinson and Helen Mosley all of Ackerman MS; brothers, Jackie Curtis and Andrew Curtis both of Ackerman MS, and Ricky Curtis of Louisville; Aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Walter McDonald

July 24, 2017

Funeral services for Walter McDonald, 49, were held at Beck Funeral Home on July 30, 2017 at 2:00 pm. Elder Willis Lyons officiated. Burial followed at Mt. Pleasant #2 in Noxapater.

Mr. Walter McDonald was a laborer. He was born on December 2, 1967 and died on July 24, 2017 at WMC Louisville.

Survivors include mother, Quillie Mae McDonald; sisters, Selose McDonald of Louisville, Catherine Goss of Noxapater, and Yolanda McDonald of Atlanta, GA; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Mary Beasley Hannah

July 26, 2017

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Beasley Hannah, 93, were held at New Zion MB Church of Louisville on July 29, 2017 at 2:00 pm. Elder George Miuller officiated. Burial followed at church cemetery.

Mrs. Mary Beasley Hannah was a retired educator at a member of New Zion MB Church of Louisville. She was born on October 15, 1923 and died on July 26, 2017 at her home in Ackerman.

Survivors include daughter, Jewel Dean Coleman of Ackerman; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

Reba Reed Pinnix

Reba Reed Pinnix passed away on July 26, 2017 in

the Claiborne County Senior Care in Port Gibson, Mississippi.

She was 91 years old. Reba was a member of

Blythe Creek Baptist Church and the Sherwood Quilters.

She is survived by two sons, Phil Pinnix (Bobbye) of Port

Gibson, Mississippi and Barney Pinnix (Pam) of Bosie,

Idaho; grandchildren, Amy Pinnix Massey, Chris Pinnix,

Emily Pinnix Robert, Jesse Thomas, Debbie Thomas,

Darby Webb and Trent Webb; great grandchildren, Shelby

Massey, Houston Massey, Sydney Pinnix, Grant Pinnix,

Savannah Thomas, Gage Thomas, James Robert and

Matthew Robert; sister, Barbara Reed Henry.

Reba was preceded in death by her husband of 69

years Hubert Hulon Pinnix; her parents, Thomas Council

and Jennie Shurden Reed; two brothers, Eldridge Reed and

Roland Reed; three sisters, Clytee Reed Pinnix, Francine

Reed Pinnix, and Metre Reed Breland.

Visitation will be held at Welch Funeral Home in

Starkville, MS on Friday, July 28, 2017 from 5 until 7 p.m.

The funeral service will be at Blythe Creek Baptist Church,

Mathiston, MS on Saturday, July 29 at 10 a.m. with Reverend

Doran Henry officiating. Burial will follow in the

church cemetery.

Danny Joe Gaskin

Ackerman, MS – Danny Joe Gaskin, 29, a heavy

equipment mechanic for Site Masters Construction, Inc,

passed away Saturday, July 22, 2017 at his home in Ackerman,

MS. Mr. Gaskin was born January 18, 1988 in

Choctaw County, MS.

Danny Joe was a very Christian man who would go

out of his way to help anyone with a problem. He always

reached for his Bible for guidance and answers. He enjoyed

being outdoors whether he was hunting, fishing,

spending time with his family or working. His favorite

hobby was working on old trucks. No matter what he had

planned, he would stop what he was doing if Aaron, his

brother, Ray, Chandler, or Payton needed him. He enjoyed

riding his motorcycle with his wife, Mary. He loved to

cook or try any type of recipe. He always had a grill ready

to fire up, whether at work or at home.

Danny Joe’s true passion was spending time with his

wife, Mary, and his dog, Zena. They went fishing, hunting,

or riding their bikes. While fishing, he would always

try out new lures or jigs he had either bought or made.

Danny Joe was always on the hunt for that trophy bass.

He enjoyed life to the fullest.

Funeral Services for Danny Joe will held on Friday,

July 28, 2017 at 1 PM at Coleman Funeral Home in Ackerman,

MS. Interment will follow in Enon Cemetery in

Ackerman, MS. Visitation will be held Friday, July 28,

2017 beginning at 10AM until the service time at Coleman

Funeral Home in Ackerman, MS. Coleman Funeral Home

of Ackerman, MS is in charge of all arrangements.

Mr. Gaskin is survived by his wife, Mary Elizabeth

Gaskin and their dog, Zena, his father, Billie Joe Gaskin,

his mother, Janet Gail Gaskin, a brother, Aaron Patrick

Gaskin, grandfather, Robert Lee (Pop) Gaskin, and grandmother,

Willa Dean Gammill. He is also survived by many

aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Danny Joe was preceded in death by his grandfather,

Doyle Gammill, grandmother, Polly Gaskin, and three uncles,

Junior Gaskin, Eddie Gaskin, and Mike Collums.

Pallbearers for the service will be Patrick Ousborn,

Rodney Johnson, Dillon Mosley, Bill McKogle, Bryson

Gunn, and Bubba Biggers. Honorary Pallbearers will be,

Edward Blunt, David Perkins, Mark Brown, Ray Collums,

Chandler Collums, Payton Collums, Gus Mosely and the

EMS crew for Medstat EMS of Ackerman, MS.
