Mr. Evon Stone
Services for Evon Stone were held Tuesday, November 26, 2013, at 3 p.m. from McClain-Hays Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Pender officiating. Burial followed in Mars Hill Cemetery in Winston County. McClain-Hays Funeral Home in Philadelphia was in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Stone, 83, of Philadelphia, died Sunday, November 24, 2013, at Neshoba County General Hospital.
He was born and reared in the Zama community of Attala County. He was a retired farmer. Mr. Stone was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Claudia Stone of Philadelphia; sons, Tony Stone of Philadelphia, Andy Stone of Ludlow, Alan Stone of Alexandria, VA, and Marc Stone of Louisville; five grandchildren; and sister, Louise Adams of Noxapater.
Pallbearers were Dan Stone, Marcus Stone, Nathan Stone, Chad Stone, Carl Stone, and Steve Parker.
Mrs. Judy V. Stevens
Mrs. Judy V. Stevens, 66, passed on Thursday, November 21, 2013, at her residence in Louisville, Mississippi.
A memorial service was held at Sacred Heart Catholic Church at 10 a.m. on Monday, November 25, 2013.
Mrs. Stevens was born on August 5, 1947, to Stanley and Lois Earl Napiorkowski. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, and she was a retired factory worker.
Mrs. Stevens is survived by her husband, John Victor Stevens, Sr., of Louisville; her daughter, Julia May Stevens of Chicago, Illinois; and her sons, John Victor Stevens, Jr. also of Chicago, and Nicholas Walter Stevens of Louisville. She is also survived by four sisters: Kathy Napior, Carol Brooks, Joan Volland, and Susan Barnhill; as well as by three brothers: Teddy Napiorkowski, Tommy Napiorkowski, and Johnny Napiorkowski. Judy has two grandchildren.
Services are under the direction of Nowell-Massey Funeral Home, 724 North Columbus Avenue, Louisville, MS.
