Mrs. Bobbie Lee Whitehead, 81, died Friday, April 11, 2014, at Winston County Nursing Home in Louisville, MS. Funeral services were held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, April 13th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Mason Joy and Rev. Jonathan Peeples officiating. Interment was in Good Hope Cemetery. Porter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Whitehead was born July 31, 1932, in Louisville, MS. She was a homemaker and a member of East Louisville Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Albert “Bill” Whitehead; two brothers, Archie Edwards and Alvin Edwards; and six sisters, Mary Leon Schell, Pauline Chiles, Claudine Richardson, Walene Fortner, Jewell Miller, and Edna Pearl Oliver.
She is survived by a daughter, Dale (Wayne) Joiner of Louisville; a son, Albert (Nell) Whitehead of Louisville; a brother, Billy Edwards of Louisville; four grandchildren, Bridgett Peeples, Michael Joiner, Alecia Holder, and Jonathan Whitehead; and seven great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Jeff Flake, Jamie Flake, Nathan Whitehead, Cecil Chiles, Jeff Wells, and Stacy Edwards.
