Mrs. Hazel Louise Sanborn, 88, died Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at Holmes County Hospital in Lexington, MS. Funeral services were held at 11:00 A. M. on Friday, May 30th, at Noxapater Baptist Church, with Rev. Chris Vowell and Rev David Sumner officiating. Interment was in Mt. Carmel Cemetery. Porter Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Sanborn was born August 9, 1925, in Noxubee County, MS. She was a retired supervisor for Garan and Angelica Corps, and was a member of Noxapater Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Jake Maxey and Harold Sanborn; her parents, Ed and Sarah Coleman; a son, Keith Sanborn; a grandson, Bart Rogers, and a granddaughter, Karen Rogers.
She is survived by two daughters, June Addkison of Louisville; and Judy (Wayne) Tubb of Starkville; two sisters, Charlene Price of Louisville, and Mary Eunice Hankins of Brandon, MS; five grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Brad Addkison, Todd Rogers, Judd Sanborn, Daniel Dunlap, Kevin Price, and H. D. “Bud” Maxey.
Memorials may be made to Noxapater Baptist Church, Fellowship Hall Building Fund.
