Ms. Loretta Lynn Blansett, 49, passed awayon Sunday, April 13, 2014, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, Mississippi. Visitation was at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville on Tuesday, April 15, 2014, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, April 16, 2014, in the Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Greg Skelton officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Ms. Blansett was born on August 15, 1964, to Mary Frances Culver Shumaker and James Shumaker. She was self-employed.
She is survived by her father, James Shumaker, of Pheba, Mississippi; her daughter, Jessica Clark McDaniel of Maben, Mississippi; two sons, Billy Clark, III of Potts Camp, Mississippi; and Jonathan Blansett, also of Pheba. Ms. Blansett is also survived by a sister, Lynn Brigance; two brothers, Eddie Shumaker; and Edward Shumaker , all of Pheba. She leaves behind five grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers are Randy Watkins, Hank Dempsey, Lee Coggin, Billy Hood, Joby Washington and Scott Johnson.
