Obituary – Mr. Claude (Jack) Peebles Jr.

Funeral services for Mr. Claude (Jack) Peebles Jr. was held at 2 PM Thursday, May 1, 2014 at John E. Stephens Chapel with Rev. John Stephens officiating. Interment was in Spring Creek Cemetery with military honors. John E. Stephens Chapel Funeral Services is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Peebles, 88, passed away on

Monday, April 28, 2014 at Neshoba General Hospital. He lived in the Deemer Community most of his life and was a U.S. Army veteran.
He received the purple heart and was a member of Blue Devils of WWII. Mr. Peebles retired from I.C.G. Railroad as section foreman. He was a member of Southside United Methodist Church.
Mr. Peebles is survived by daughters, Claudette McMichael of Phila, MS, M. Teresa Peebles of Birmingham, AL, Patti Peebles of Phila, MS, Donna Peebles of Phila, MS, Kem Robinson of Phila, MS; sisters, Otazell Adams of Meridian, MS, Velma “Bill” Morris of Phila, MS & Zelma “Tut” Henley of Phila, MS; (5) grandchildren,(4) great-grandchildren; (2) great-great-grandchildren; host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Robert McMichael, George Robinson, B.J. Mason, Taylor Robinson, Austin Robinson, Tommy Waddell, David Henley & Sid Peacock. Honorary pallbearers are purple heart comrades.
