Demand for local produce, markets continues to grow

Winston County hosts a farmer’s market each Thursday starting at 4 p.m. at Louisville Coliseum. The Winston County Self Help Cooperative and others are instrumental in keeping the farmer’s market going. Frank Taylor of WCSHC noted the importance of the market since it brings not only the benefit of spending money with local farmers but it also leads to better health for the customers since they are purchasing fresh and healthy grown foods.
