The Winston Academy baseball team has had a solid first-half of the season, but we will be trying to shake off a pair of tough losses as they get set for a four-game run of district games beginning this week.

The 7-4 Patriots were set to visit Tri-County on Tuesday, before hosting TCA on Thursday at 6 p.m. in district action. The league play continues next week for WA as it hosts Oak Hill on Tuesday and visits West Point to take on the Raiders on Thursday.

Last week the Pats fell to Leake Academy 5-2 on Tuesday in the semifinals of the Benton Academy Spring Break Tournament, then dropped a 6-4 home contest to Benton Academy on Monday.

After the four consecutive league games, the Patriots travel to Macon to face Central Academy on March 28 in non-league action, before traveling to Hebron for a doubleheader on March 29 and then hosting the Central Academy Vikings on March 31. The Pats then close out the regular season with a pair of two-game league series against Manchester Academy and Canton Academy.
