Pilots enjoy soup supper and plan pageant

by Theresa Bridges

Louisville Pilots enjoyed a soup supper recently hosted by Michelle Bellew in her lovely country home.

Littlest Pilot, daughter Jenna, enjoyed the conversation and graciously welcomed us and thanked us for coming to her home. We enjoyed tasting all the different warm soups and desserts on such a cold wintry night.

Pilots will be busy the next few weeks getting the Winter Pageant together. The patriotic theme of the 2013 pageant will be Star Spangled Beauties and will be held on Saturday, March 23, at the Louisville High School Auditorium. Registration for the pageant will be Monday, January 21 from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. We are asking all girls ages 4-18 years and boys ages 4-7 years to join us for this fun event. The pageant is the Pilot Club of Louisville main fundraiser. If you see a Pilot, ask to purchase an ad for the night’s program. This is a great way for fellow citizens to know you support the brain-related projects the Pilots strive to accomplish in Winston County.

A business meeting followed the delectable meal by voting on a design for a banner to be hung over the newly lighted bypass highway. This will show those entering the city limits of Louisville that Pilots support their community and we are proud to do it! The large group broke into their respective smaller committees to start the process of planning for the upcoming pageant. Again, girls and boys, sign up to be chosen as the next winners of 2013 Pageant. See the Jan. 30 edition of the Journal for some of the signees.
