The Mississippi Technology Alliance (MTA) and the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) recognized Polo Custom Products in Louisville, Miss., as an innovator in the Golden Triangle region. Part of a yearlong project funded by the Mississippi Technology Alliance and the Appalachian Regional Commission, the purpose of the Regional Innovation Cluster project is to serve as a catalyst for increasing job creation with high wage potential in distressed rural communities. This project has been accomplished over the past 10 months through a process of bringing government, academic and private sector leaders within the Golden Triangle region together to focus on innovation-led economic development. These strategic partners are collaborating to strengthen the regions’ assets within technology/ research, entrepreneurship/ business assistance, capital and human resources. Polo Custom Products has more than 60 years experience in contract manufacturing and provides custom industrial sewing, RF welding and thermoforming using flexible and pliable materials such as vinyl, nylon, urethane, aramids, Teflon™, leather and other fabrics and films. Polo Custom Products offers custom sewn, RF welded and thermoformed products to several original equipment manufacturer markets including medical, safety, military, industrial and electronic. Typical applications include carrying cases, EVA cases, bags, holsters, pouches and drainage bags.
