The high school fast-pitch softball season begins for real in Winston County this weekend with the Winston County Classic.
The event — which features Louisville High School, Nanih Waiya and Noxapater — consists of three games and will be hosted by Nanih Waiya. LHS and Noxapater get things started at noon, followed by Nanih Waiya and Louisville at 1:30 p.m. and Noxapater and NW at 3 p.m.
The Lady Warriors of Nanih Waiya will then visit Union on Tuesday and Choctaw Central on Friday, before taking part in the Sebastopol Tournament on March 8 and the Clarkdale Tournament on March 13-14.
The Lady Wildcats of LHS will visit Kosciusko on Tuesday and host Noxapater on Thursday, before taking 11 days off before visiting Starkville on March 17 and hosting Kosciusko on March 18.
After taking part in the County Classic, Noxapater visits Louisville on Thursday, then takes on Winona and East Webster in the East Webster Tournament on March 8. Noxapater will be then off until March 21 when the Lady Tigers play host to Ethel.
