From staff and press reports
Raychal Reed will be heading off to the 64th Mississippi Miss Hospitality Pageant on July 26-27 at the Saenger Theater in Downtown Hattiesburg to represent Winston County.
She plans to introduce all attending to the Winston County she knows:
“On the map, my county forms a red clay staircase
Climbing three city steps, hospitality is our showcase,
In your tennis shoes explore the Red Hills Festival downtown,
Come see the history in my hometown,
Drive a fire truck at the Big Red museum,
In your cowboy boots ride horses at the Coliseum,
In your flip flops feel the sand between your toes,
Lake tiak o’ khata is the place to go.
Stepping into the good life anywhere you choose,
In Winston County, you can do anything in the right pair of shoes.”
Reed is a Hall of Fame and Dean’s List graduate of East Central Community College.
