Flags, red, white and blue streamers and pinwheels were the decorations of choice Thursday for the Winston County Red, White, Blue Kids’ Bike Parade in Louisville.
About 70 people, children and helpful adults included, pedaled, pushed and pulled bicycles, tricycles, wagons and scooters from Court Street all along Main Street from the Fair Building to the monument.
“We had a great crowd come out and show their patriotic spirit,” said Linda Skelton, Chamber of Commerce Director. The Winston County Chamber held the event.
At the end of the ride, the Wrinkled Roosters had free hot dogs and drinks for everyone who made the trek.
Following the parade on July 2, the annual fireworks were held at Lake Tiak O’Khata.
