Of course, businesses, churches, civic and service clubs, families and individuals are also invited to join in the Relay for Life by sponsoring a team to walk in the Relay or by sponsoring a community event and fund-raiser for the American Cancer Society.
Team captains, team members and other interested people are invited to a Relay team meeting beginning at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 15 at the Winston Medical Center cafeteria. Representatives from all Relay teams have been invited and new teams are encouraged to get involved. A team can be anything from a small group of friends to a huge group of co-workers. The goal for each team member to raise $100. Team participation ranges from simply participating in the walking event to arranging fundraising events for the team.
