Emily Perkins, Family Nurse Practitioner, recently spoke to the Retired Educational Personnel about health matters. The next REPM meeting is set for March 6 in Louisville City Hall at 1:00 PM with speaker: Tom Bush, President of Winston County Crime Stoppers. Prior to the meeting a tour of the Louisville Central Office will be at 11:00 AM for REPM members.
REPM had 21 active members in 2007. Today, they have 179 active members and they plan to reach the 200 goal this year. The retired personnel of Winston County have received awards for the last 7 years from District 3 REPM for membership growth.
“We have one of the strongest unit in the state and possible the strongest. We are the only unit in the state that has a state senator, state representative, school superintendent and a school board member as members of our unit. This should make Winston County proud!” said President Tommy Joe Wylie.
